I have seen a small city. Yes the quality of life is more natural. Things of your convenience-ration, clothes and other household utilities are within walkable reach-say just 200 m. More special services and quite a lot of employer locations are just within 500m. So why need a vehicle just spending ten times in commuting for a trivial thing.
Manual transport reduces pollution and old courtyard houses save a lot of energy keeping bills as low as $100/yr. Per capita living cost is just $500/year. So what have we really achieved by metros is what I really wonder.
